Riu Plaza Miami Beach, Miami Beach

The hotel was not what we paid for; we were soaking wet and locked out of the room, especially the floors. I'm not coming back. The service from the housekeeper Mama to the restaurant staff, Shami and Paulina, was great, but there was a very passive attitude on the night shift at the desk. The location was nice and spacious, with plenty of sun loungers and large towels, but far from the main attractions and close to annoying music. The dining experience was great in quality and variety. The pool area and other facilities were good.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was great, close to the Best part of Miami South Beach, but the rooms were quite tired, and the elevators were often out of order. The service was a mixed bag, with some staff being unwelcoming despite spending a significant amount on the stay. The breakfast had a good variety, although the cold meat was a letdown.
